Japanese Language & Calligraphy
A workshop of approximately 2 hours.
1 hour is an attempt at explaining the origin and development of the Japanese writing system as well as how it is used today.
The second hour is a short introduction to calligraphy where we shall have some fun with a brush and some ink.
Costs: 20 euros per person

Calligraphy
A 2 hour workshop focusing solely on the joys of calligraphy. More time will be spend on the basic brush strokes which make basic characters, and in the second half of the lesson we will try and practice putting characters on rice paper. Through writing characters we will become aware of the space between the strokes, and the balance between the different components.

I provide private Japanese lessons in Utrecht, Netherlands both at your home or at my place both in English and in Dutch.
I also provide lessons via Skype.
